Who Can Apply for IGNOU B.Ed 2026?
Candidates must fulfill academic qualification as well as professional eligibility conditions to apply for IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2026.
1. Minimum Educational Qualification
- At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in:
- Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Commerce
- Humanities
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology with 55% marks (Science & Mathematics specialization)
2. Professional Eligibility (Mandatory)
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
- Candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode
Important: Candidates without NCTE-recognized qualification
or proper teacher training are NOT eligible.
Who Cannot Apply for IGNOU B.Ed 2026?
- Candidates with less than 50% marks in Graduation/Post-Graduation
